I decided to make a valentines card this year for my family. I normally only do Christmas and that is just on good years. lol I am by all means NOT good at the whole card thing. In fact, i still have written out christmas cards (addressed and all) from 5 years ago still sitting in a closet. i dont know why this is so hard for me to do but it always has been. Since this was a year with no Christmas cards i thought it would be the perfect time to do Valentines cards. I can't wait till they come in so i can send them out cause i personally think they turned out cute. Here is the final pics, just a little reminder to the fam of how much we love them. =)
BTW i never realized how hard it would be for a 2 year old to point to his eye and a 3 year old to make a heart shape. She could not figure it out for the life of her and really i just straight lucked out that i got a shot with it actually looking like one! lol

Hi! This is Maria from you craft me up- to answer your question, I do free hand most of my letters. Some are the CURLZ font, and I think I got the design for the LUCK letters from the wood connection. (a utah wood craft store) I cut most of my stuff out of 1" thick wood. Most of my letters are done with the 12" wide boards from Lowes. You can go thicker (like the pumpkins in my pumpkin block set, and the hearts in the LOVE blocks and HUGS & KISSES blocks were cut from a 2x4 using my scroll saw) if you do cut thicker wood, use a thiner blade- seems opposite from what you'd think but it makes it way easier- plus you have to go super slow, and be prepared to go through lots of blades! :) One more piece of advice, if you have a sears nearby, buy your blades there! You can get a 15 multi pack for like $5 or a 5 pack for $2.50 (less than half the cost of the HD or Lowes ones) they are craftsman brand, and they last way longer and brake less then the other ones too!
